Care Coaches

As care coaches, our goal is to help women meet the challenges of life in a way that pleases and honors the Lord Jesus Christ. God designed our hearts with the capacity to receive and give love. Emotional pain can damage that ability. His desire for us is full enjoyment of His love and living out His plan for our lives. Our hope is to help women find biblical solutions for challenging circumstances and encourage women in finding freedom in Christ.

Her current works-in-progress include a book of daily devotions and a contemporary novel. Her writing encourages sojourners to consider their choices and weigh the consequences, because life presents opportunities that impact eternity.

Her short stories can be found in Guideposts Extraordinary Answers to Prayer series and in Bethany House’s Love is a Flame. She is the founding of Word Weavers Charlotte. She enjoys coaching, editing, and encouraging others on their writing journeys.

Tonya is a Midwestern transplant who loves living in the South. She has ping- ponged across the Mason-Dixon Line from the mitten of Michigan to the Space Coast of Florida. She currently lives near Charlotte which conveniently allows her to do two of her favorite things–stroll the sandy shores of the Carolinas and hike in the Smoky Mountains.

She grew up in New Jersey, took a detour and lived in Florida for seven years, and now resides in the South with her husband and three beautiful daughters.

Prayer is our primary tool as we

  • Recognize: Understand Jesus is the only one that can bring comfort

and peace to a damaged heart

  • Release: Direct women to Jesus for healing of the pain they carry
  • Restore: Lead women in prayer to resolve emotional pain and spiritual issues

Coaches schedule clients for 5 three-hour sessions.

Our coaches are not trained professionally in psychiatry or medicine.  However, they have in depth training through Caring for the Heart International and vibrant growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  All coaches have gone through the healing process themselves and have committed to ongoing training.

There is no fee for these sessions. However, clients are asked to commit to work through their personal and family issues. We do not charge for this Christian coaching ministry. Donations from past clients, individuals and ministries are the sole financial support that enables us to help women find restoration.

Caring for the Heart Ministry of South Carolina is incorporated in the state of South Carolina as a nonprofit corporation and is approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt organization allowing us to provide tax-deductible receipts for donations.
